Abstract

|
Stevens-Johnson syndrome is an eruptive disorder of mucous membrane and skin with an acute systemic reaction.
Drug hypersensitivity, systemic infection, food allergy, deep X-ray therapy, neoplasm have been considered as possible causative agents.
Since Stevens and Johnson reported 2 cases in 1922, there have been numerous case reports and studies for etiologic agents.
Several cases of Sevens-Johnson syndrome were reported in this country.
Two cases of Stevens-Johnson- Syndrome with severe complications are presented and review the previous reports in Korea.
In this case 1 herb medicine is suspected to be the main causative agent and both cases revealed findings of hepatitis.
